Mezzo soprano Agi Vojtkó and pianist Chuck Dillard reunite after more than a decade for an afternoon centered on women's voices -- as composers, poets, and mothers singing their children to sleep. Alongside lullabies by Benjamin Britten, you will also hear music by Rebecca Clarke, Madeleine Dring, Margaret Bonds, and Leslie Adams. The lyrical poetry of Edna St. Vincent Millay is prominently featured, providing splendid examples of why she continues to be a muse for composers even today.
