Inspired by violinist Tomás Cotik’s Fulbright Scholar year in Spain, this program explores the rich and diverse sound world of Spanish music for violin and piano. Featuring works by Pablo de Sarasate, Enrique Granados, Isaac Albéniz and Manuel de Falla, the concert highlights the intersection of classical tradition and Spanish folk influences. From virtuosic showpieces to lyrical miniatures, the program captures the expressive depth, color and rhythmic character that define the Spanish repertoire at the turn of the 20th century.
