Ko-Ichiro Yamamoto Guest Artist Recital

Mr. Ko-Ichiro Yamamoto will perform a guest artist trombone recital in Lincoln Recital Hall 75 at Portland State University on Tuesday, April 15 at 7:30 pm.

Known as one of the foremost Japanese trombonists of his generation, Mr. Yamamoto enjoys a dazzling career in the United States as the first Japanese trombonist in major American orchestras. He currently plays as the principal trombone in the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, a position he has held since 2005. Before the Seattle Symphony, he performed for ten years with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in New York City.

Besides playing in orchestras, Mr. Yamamoto regularly travels around the world performing and teaching.
