Jamel Tayeb

Jamel Tayeb is an engineer and educator with over two decades of experience at the crossroads of computer architecture, systems programming, and performance optimization. During his time at Intel Corporation, he worked with universities, research labs, independent software vendors, and original equipment manufacturers worldwide to push the limits of CPU performance. His work led to collaborative research initiatives, publications in academic and industry forums, and multiple patents in telemetry, platform optimization, and high-performance computing application tuning.

Today, Jamel channels that passion and expertise into the classroom, teaching computer architecture and programming with an emphasis on systems-level thinking, performance analysis, and practical problem-solving grounded in real-world applications. His classes balance technical rigor with a collaborative, exploratory atmosphere, guiding students to connect low-level details to the broader challenges of computing.

With a multicultural background shaped by living in Algeria, Hungary, France, and the United States, Jamel values diversity and global perspectives in both his work and teaching. Outside academia, he is a dedicated retro computing enthusiast, exploring and preserving the history of vintage hardware and software.
