Admissions RequirementsMeet PSU’s minimum requirementsBachelor’s degree in geology or earth science or bachelor’s degree in a physical science (e.g. chemistry, physics) with five years of experience in a geoscience related industryTaking G 434 Structural Geology and Tectonics and G 318 Processes in the Surface Environment or G 435 Sedimentology and Stratigraphy may substitute for industry experienceExpected preparation would include the following:Two terms of calculusTwo terms of physics (preferably calculus-based)Two terms of chemistryIf you have not completed these classes, please consult with your potential advisor about deficiencies you may need to make up.Minimum GPA of 3.0 in geology-related and allied science courses DeadlinesThis program admits students on a rolling basis throughout the year.
