Academics

Our six undergraduate majors give you the opportunity to explore the environment, societies and the interactions between them across time and place.

With a B+M program, graduate credits taken in your junior and/or senior year will be applied to both degrees, allowing you to complete your undergraduate and graduate degrees together in as little as five years. We currently offer accelerated programs in Anthropology and Geography.

We offer 12 minors and undergraduate certificates that give you opportunities to explore interests outside or complementary to your major, develop new skills, and make yourself more competitive for jobs or graduate programs.

We offer nine master’s degrees across a variety of subjects. Program options include the more traditional thesis option for those who plan on pursuing a doctorate or career in research as well as project, internship and skills options for those wanting a more applied focus.

We offer two programs leading to a PhD degree: Earth, Environment and Society, and Systems Science. Our goal is to train researchers and scientists who will make fundamental and lasting contributions to their fields.

We offer seven graduate certificates across a variety of subjects that allow you to broaden your skills and career prospects. Some programs can be applied toward a master’s degree.
