C-GEO and its teacher participants have produced a variety of geography related K-12 instructional materials, including our award winning Student Atlas of Oregon. See our instructional materials page to learn more.
Oregon teachers who complete an introductory institute with C-GEO are eligible to apply for small grants for geography-related professional development and teaching geography. Please see our grants page.
C-GEO puts all our time, energy, and funding into resources and programs for K-12 teachers, but we are entirely dependent upon grants and donations. Each individual contribution makes a difference regardless of the size. It's easy to make a donation. Just follow the link to support C-GEO.
Geography Awareness Week
Geography Awareness Week (GAW) is an annual celebration of geography and the important role it plays in our lives. Founded by presidential proclamation in 1987, GAW is observed during the third week of November each year. C-GEO is dedicated to providing resources celebrate GAW.
