Recorded and Photographed Lecture Content Agreement

As a student, I understand that I am required to treat recorded and photographed lecture content as confidential and/or my instructor’s intellectual property. I understand that, if I have an accommodation for audio recording, using technology, or the instructor video recording the class, I may not:

  • Allow anyone else to listen to or use any recording or photographs of the white board or lecture slides, except the instructor or the Disability Resource Center upon request.
  • Audio record when confidential or personal information is discussed.
  • Photograph fellow students or their work.
  • Use my equipment to video record the class and/or lecture.
  • Copy, broadcast, transcribe, or share any part of any recordings or photographs.
  • Release any recordings, profit financially, or allow others to benefit personally from material recorded or photographed.
  • Publish or otherwise quote dialogue from the lecture without the lecturer’s explicit written consent and without properly identifying and crediting the lecturer.
  • Violate the rights of faculty and fellow students by using recordings or photographs in any manner other than for my own personal study in each course.

I understand that a violation of this agreement may result in disciplinary action under the PSU Code of Student Conduct or subject me to liability under copyright laws.
