- Sahan Dissanayake, economics faculty, J. Forrest Williams, economics faculty, Rebecca McClain, National Policy Consensus Center director of research, and Melissa Haeffner, environmental science and management faculty and principal investigator, received a two-year $299,605 NOAA Adaptation Science grant from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration grant to study “Trust and Community Acceptance of Coastal Flood Mitigation.
- Ellie Harmon, computer science, Veronica Hotton, university studies and principle investigator, Robert Liebman, sociology faculty emeritus, Michael Lupro, university studies faculty, and Wu-chang Feng, computer science faculty, received a $99,021 grant for the GenCyber Teacher Program Portland State University.
- Alissa Hartig, applied linguistics faculty, and Jack Barbera, chemistry faculty, were awarded a three-year $299,945 grant from the National Science Foundation for an interdisciplinary project titled “Understanding the Role of Student Engagement in Active Learning Outcomes in General Chemistry through Discourse Analysis.”
- Hyeyoung Woo, sociology faculty, received a $270,000 three-year grant to study “The Making of Women in Korea” from the Academy of Korean Studies.
