We will be hosting our 2nd Inclusive Teaching & Mentoring Symposium for the Maseeh College on Friday, October 17th. We will be focusing on supporting undergraduate and graduate student success in an ever evolving local and national climate.

This year's event will start with a State of the College over lunch. You’ll hear from Dean Bull about what he sees as opportunities and challenges in the year ahead and how the Maseeh College will continue moving forward in fulfilling our promise to offer a world-class education that is accessible, affordable, and inclusive. There is so much exciting work that you do and we’re delighted to support you in our education, research, and service missions that change our students’ lives and the world in positive ways.

After lunch, we will transition to a collaborative symposium focused on improving undergraduate success, and supporting graduate students in their journey. The symposium will be seeded by insights from faculty and staff colleagues who will share insights on what has worked for them in supporting student success inside and outside of the classroom. We will also share about the progress from work mentioned in the 2024 Maseeh Symposium relating to first year engineering, inclusive pedagogy, and PhD programs.

Agenda:

12-1pm: State of the College by Dean Bull & Lunch
1-3pm: Symposium for Maseeh College Faculty & Staff focused on both undergraduate and graduate student success
