Billing

PSU is proud to be a paperless school. Therefore, bills are not mailed to account holders unless they are no longer enrolled in current classes.

Electronic billing statements are generated on the 16th of each month for every account with a balance due. Students with a balance due will receive an email notification to their PSU email that their bill is available to view on their MyPSU account.

Your billing statement is a snapshot of the account at the time it is generated. Payments made or charges incurred after the statements are generated will be captured on the next statement if the account still has an unpaid balance. A summary of the account's previous balance, new charges, payments received, anticipated aid, refunds paid, and the resulting amount due are printed at the top of the bill, followed by an itemized view of the account in detail.

When you pay your bill, there will be an option to select fee verification for $5 charge. Select this if you need an itemized list of charges for reimbursement for an employer or sponsor, otherwise do not check it.

Accounts Belonging to Previously Enrolled Students

Accounts belonging to previously enrolled students (out-of-term accounts) with a balance receive paper billing statements in the mail. Statements are sent to the most recent address provided to PSU. If you are unable to access your student account because you are no longer a current student contact the Office of Information Technology. Payment in full is due on the 6th of each month on accounts not enrolled in current term courses. Interest is assessed on previously billed account balances at the rate of 12% per annum (0.03288% daily rate) on the 16th of every month on the outstanding balance. A $10 monthly account maintenance fee is also assessed on previously billed account balances.

If you have questions about specific charges and fines for parking, health insurance, housing, library, or campus rec, contact the department directly.

Fee Verification

Fee verification is an official, customized itemized list of charges on a student's account for a given term. It includes descriptions of charges, amounts of the charges, and any payments that have been made toward the account. Most often these are requested by sponsors or employers so that students may get reimbursement for education costs.

Students can request a fee verification via myPSU. Since fee verifications have to be prepared individually, a fee of $5.00 is charged every term that a student makes this request. All fee verifications are prepared on official PSU letterhead, and can be delivered to the student or another party via mail, email, or picked up in person.
