Licensure

The Office of Field Placement and Licensure in the Graduate School of Education (GSE) is responsible for processing all of the teacher educator, administrator, and counselor educator (preK-12) recommendations for licensure for Oregon's Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) and for all other states.

Licensure recommendations are processed for students who have completed one of the Oregon approved GSE licensure programs.

For specific questions about Oregon licensure, unrelated to one of the GSE approved licensure programs, please contact Oregon's TSPC directly.

New fee

Students admitted and enrolled in GSE licensure programs Fall 2010 or thereafter will be required to pay a fee for each request for recommendation of licensure from the GSE to Oregon (TSPC).

Fees:
  • Recommendation for an Initial Teaching and Initial Counselor License
$100
  • All subsequent PSU recommendations (e.g. added endorsements, added authorizations, administrative licenses, etc.)
$25

Check or money orders must be submitted to the GSE Licensure Office with the Request for Licensure Recommendation Formpdf for the request to be processed. Please note that, if you are requesting recommendation to another state outside of Oregon, there is also a $25 fee (please see instructions).
