Fraud, Waste and Abuse Hotline

Report Fraud, Waste, and Abuse

Portland State University has a responsibility to prevent and detect fraud, waste, and abuse and to hold accountable those who engage in it.

If you are aware of fraud, waste, or abuse occurring within PSU, matters can be reported to:

  • Campus Management
  • Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Hotline

Reporting A Concern

PSU has contracted with an independent, third-party vendor, to provide this confidential and anonymous telephone and Internet system for reporting your concerns.

When employees do not feel comfortable discussing these concerns directly with campus management, reports can be made through the hotline.  PSU has responsibility for administering the hotline system and following up on reports. To file or follow up on a report:

Internet

Go to PSU's hotline portal and click on the applicable campus and the appropriate Issue Category that best describes the incident.

Phone

Call the hotline's toll-free number at: 1-844-440-0060. An intake specialist will assist in making your report.

Whistleblower Protection

Employees who identify themselves and make a good faith report of suspected fraud, waste, or abuse are protected from retaliation, in accordance with the Oregon State Whistleblowers Protection Law (ORS 659A). PSU will take steps to maintain confidentiality for employees reporting suspected financial irregularities, misconduct, safety issues, or other concerns to the extent possible under the law.

The Hotline is not a 911 or emergency service

Do not use this site to report events presenting an immediate threat to life or property. Reports submitted through this service may not receive an immediate response. If you require emergency assistance, please contact your local authorities.
