DAC Committees are charged with reviewing current practice, researching best practices, supporting the development of diversity education & learning and providing recommendations that assist PSU achieve its strategic plan goals. Committees meet as agreed upon by members and chairs, guided by their goals for the year. Subcommittees plan their meetings related to the timeframes of their purpose.
What We Do
Each academic year the DAC sponsors diversity programming and special projects through its President's Diversity Mini-Grants Program. The council recognize honorees for their outstanding accomplishments in making PSU a more diverse, inclusive and equitable university through the annual President's Diversity Awards. The DAC also constantly works towards the goals of the PSU Strategic Plan and the Diversity Action Plan. For Portland State to be successful in achieving these diversity goals, it requires the commitment of every PSU student, faculty and staff member. A general call for nominations for DAC membership will go to the campus community each academic year.
