Undergraduate Admission to Portland State
Whether you are a first time freshman or returning student seeking a first or second bachelor's degree, you'll find a wealth of academic programs from which to choose.
The Portland State University admission application process is easy. This section has been broken into the following categories to help you determine which application is right for you.
Freshman admission is for those entering Portland State directly from high school or having 29 or fewer college credits.
Transfer admission is for students who have attended other accredited colleges or universities prior to application.
Quick Entry students are restricted to part-time, not-formally-admitted enrollment. Student services, student housing and course availability is more limited. Quick entry students are not entitled to financial aid.
Co-Admission is for students who are concurrently enrolled at Portland State and at a local community college.
Re-Enrollment is for formerly admitted students who have left Portland State and have attended another college or university since leaving Portland State. This category of student is seeking to finish a bachelor's degree after a delay.
Postbaccalaureate admission is for students who have completed a bachelor's degree and seek to obtain a second bachelor's degree or seek to fulfill undergraduate course requirements prior to formal admission to a master's or doctoral program.
