Marie-Ève Monette


Associate Director of Development

Marie-Ève has dedicated her career to increasing access to education and professional opportunities. She is a frontline fundraiser for the PSU College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and the School of Public Health.  

Marie-Ève was an educator for 16 years, during which she taught French, Spanish and English to diverse students, spanning from construction workers to traditional university students. From 2015-2019, she taught Latin American Literatures and Cinemas as an Assistant Professor of Spanish at the University of Alabama. 

Prior to joining the PSU Foundation, Marie-Ève was immersed in nonprofit development work, focusing on refugee and immigrant rights. She holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies, and a B.A. in Arts, both from McGill University in Canada. 

Marie-Ève leads a film art platform called Viewing the Andes. Through it, she collaborates with Indigenous and mestizo filmmakers, researchers and institutions from Bolivia, Peru (and around the world) to amplify their stories and demands for social justice and cultural rights.
