  1. Madi Lou Alexander (Sociology PhD) presented their thesis entitled “I’m strictly t4t”: Trans for Trans Connections in the Contemporary” in a roundtable focused on Transgender Consciousness, Realities, and Activism at the 2025 annual meeting of the American Sociological Association.
  2. Kervelle Baird (Earth, Environment, and Society PhD) presented “How effectively do filters reduce the release of microplastics stormwater in Oregon?” at the 46th Annual North America Meeting of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, Oregon Convention Center in November 2025. Kervelle also presented “How effectively do filters reduce the release of microplastics into Oregon (USA) waters?” at the XIX World Water Congress, Marrakesh, Morocco in December 2025.
  3. Thein-Kim Bui (Earth, Environment, and Society PhD) presented “Human ecology mapping: Overview and applications” at the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, Making Waves: Environmental Justice Panel in September 2025. Thein also presented “Mapping Beyond Boundaries: Creative Geographies as Tools for Interdisciplinary Research and Teaching” at the Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities Conference, Madison, Wisconsin in October 2025. Thien co-presented “Human ecology mapping on the Upper Rogue River: Lessons learned from a community engagement process” at the Conference for Advancing Participatory Sciences, Portland, Oregon in May 2025.
  4. Carla Jimena (Sociology PhD) was accepted to present “A Critical Appraisal of Poverty in the Context of Nature-Based Communities: Selected Cases from the Philippines” at the roundtable session, Table 10: Frontiers in Inequality, at the 2025 annual meeting of the American Sociological Association.
  5. Bodhi Norton (Sociology MS’25) presented their thesis, “An Evaluation of Therapeutic Harm Reduction and Psilocybin Assisted Therapy Within Oregon’s Measure 109” during the poster session at Psychedelic Science 2025.
  6. Josi Struck (Communication MS) presented "Leveraging narrative: Welfare support and affordable housing attitudes" at the National Communication Association Conference in November 2025.
