Bushby Scholarship to support their research and travel.Chrys Buckley (Book Publishing MS) received the Wandering Aengus Press Nonfiction Book Award for their book manuscript of personal essays. The press is publishing her book, Invisible Violets: A Mixtape in Lyric Essays, which will be out on March 13 and is already available for pre-order wherever books are sold. This collection of essays explores several themes related to albinism, legal blindness, and disability, while touching on the importance of music, nature, education, memory, and above all, stories.Carla Jimena (Sociology PhD) received a Student Travel Forum Award at the 2025 annual meeting of the American Sociological Association.Anne Johnson (Sociology PhD) received an honorable mention for their article "Drunk Hunters: Constituting Logics of Law Enforcement Phlebotomy" in the Crime, Law, and Deviance Section's Distinguished Student Paper Award competition.
