Screenwriter Fernley Phillips Teaches Feature Film Writing Class

School of Film Connects Students to Industry

Although many film shoots aren't happening, the School of Film is using its courses to connect its students to the industry. Screenwriter Fernley Phillips will teach a second section of FILM 374 Screenwriting: Feature Film in winter term.

Fernley broke into the industry with his spec THE NUMBER 23 which was produced by New Line Cinema, starring Jim Carrey and directed by Joel Schumacher. He also wrote the story for U WANT ME 2 KILL HIM? based on a Vanity Fair article Fernley adapted. He has written features for Paramount, Warner Bros, Universal, Sony and Fox and sold the TV shows CORRIDORS and ODYSSEY to ABC and The CW. He currently lives in Portland, Oregon where he continues to write.
