The JSMA at PSU is pleased to host a paper weaving workshop with Arlene Schnitzer Visual Arts Prize recipient Johanna Houska (BFA Art Practice, ‘22). The method introduced will utilize various non-traditional weaving materials and draws on inspiration from 2-D artists to develop intricate woven work through color, shape, and pattern. Participants will learn to develop quick methods for paper-weaving and choose various materials to develop their designs to take home.

This program is free and open to the public. ASL interpreting will be provided.*
