Movie Madness University at PSU Presents "Lost & Found: Lost Films & Rediscoveries"

Have you ever heard the phrase “lost film” and wondered where they put it? Do you have friends or relatives that told you about a film they once saw, but you can’t find it anywhere? Are you fascinated with stories of films found at garage sales, in frozen ground, or in someone’s attic? This class is for you.
Join us for a 2-hour deep dive on “lost films.“ We’ll look at what has been lost and why, share stories of some rediscoveries, and discuss what we can do to preserve worldwide cultural heritage on film.

This class will be taught by De, whose past courses for MMU have included The Directrices and How Did We Get to Cinema?

Class will be held in room LH115 in Lincoln Hall, at 1620 SW Park Ave, Portland, OR 97201 on the Portland State University Campus.
