Family Resources

It is our belief that your understanding - as a parent or family member - of Portland State University, and the support that you provide to your PSU student, will assist in your student's ability to be successful. We host a parallel family orientation program as a part of each of our first-year student Orientation sessions held during the summer months. These sessions are designed to educate you about the resources available to PSU students and the transitions that many students and families experience during this academic journey.  In addition, you are welcome to attend any of our other available orientation programs with your student as his or her guest.  For more information about our various Orientation programs, please click on the appropriate menu item above that describes your new PSU student.

We hope that you will attend an Orientation program with your student.  Please also check out the Portland State University Parent and Family Resources website.  On this website, you will find information on many of PSU's available resources as well as suggestions for families supporting new and current PSU students.
