  1. Alida Cantor, Geography faculty, received the Professional Geographer Award from the Energy and Environment Specialty Group of the American Association of Geographers.
  2. Shane Day, Public Administration faculty, was awarded the American Political Science Association's Congressional Fellowship for the 2024/25 academic year. 
  3. Maurice Hamington, Professor of Philosophy and Affiliate Faculty in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies was interviewed for the podcast Careful Thinking regarding care ethics and his new book, Revolutionary Care: Commitment and Ethos.
  4. Kerry Politzer, Music & Theater, was commissioned by Canadian pianist Andree-Ann Deschenes to write a solo piano piece titled “Microclimates,” released as part of Deschenes' album “Wanderings,” a program of pieces written especially for her.
