On this page, you'll find links to important dates and forms for faculty reviews that must be reviewed by the Maseeh College Dean. These reviews include:
- Tenure-Related: Third Year Review, Promotion and/or Tenure, Post Tenure Review (PTR)
- Non-Tenure Track Faculty (Instructional) on Continuous Appointments: Promotion, Milestone, Post Continuous Appointment Review (PCAR)
- Non-Tenure Track Faculty on Fixed Term Appointments: Promotion
Emeritus is considered a promotion. Criteria and eligibility are stated in University and departmental guidelines. Emeritus reviews are to be conducted the cycle BEFORE the faculty member’s effective retirement date.
DEADLINES
For the academic year 2023-24, candidate dossiers are due to the Maseeh College Dean’s Office as specified:
- Emeritus (Early): October 20, 2023
- P&T, Milestone and Emeritus (Regular): January 9, 2024
- PTR and PCAR: January 12, 2024
- Third-Year Reviews: April 15, 2024
Departmental deadlines for submission to review committees will be earlier. Consult with the committee chair or department chair for your department's deadlines and/or reference the OAA Deadlines for Academic Personnel Actions.
If the dossiers are ready prior to the deadline, departments are encouraged to submit them in advance.
Do not send any dossiers to the Dean's office without the signatures of all review committee members, the department chair, and the faculty candidate on the appraisal signature sheet.
DOSSIER REQUIREMENTS
The "Dossier Submission Process" describes all of the requirements but a few highlights:
- Dossier submission will be electronic. The Dean's Office will share a unique Google Drive folder for the Department Chair to submit the dossier to the Dean's office.
- All files must be in PDF and named as detailed in the "Dossier Submission Process".
- Templates for the Dean's checklist and Appraisal Signature sheets are posted in this Google Drive folder.
Dossiers not meeting the requirements will be returned to the department for correction.
DEAN's P&T ADVISORY COMMITTEE
We have published the Maseeh College procedures for the Dean's P&T Advisory Committee, adopted June 2023. For AY 23-24, the committee consists of the following faculty:
