2026 Order of the Engineer Ring Ceremony

During the ceremony, participants voluntarily accept the Obligation of the Engineer, a pledge to practice integrity and fair dealing, to uphold the standards and dignity of the profession, and to recognize the profound responsibility engineers carry in serving humanity. The stainless steel ring, worn on the fifth finger of the working hand, serves as a daily reminder of that commitment.
Portland State University is honored to host this meaningful tradition and to welcome engineers from our community and beyond into this enduring tradition. Family members, friends, and mentors are warmly invited to attend and share in this special milestone.

Candidates must complete the registration form and pay the fee ($15) prior to the event.
