  1. Oscar Fernández, university studies, created and facilitated the workshop “COVID-19 Updates: Perspectives on Interpreting Addiction and Opioid Dependency Appointments,” for medical interpreters with the Oregon Health Care Interpreter Association (OHCIA), via Zoom on Jan. 15.
  2. Kevin Kecskes, public administration faculty, presented “Deepening Our Pedagogy: Service-learning/Community-engaged Learning (SL/CEL)” at the Vietnamese Network of Engaged Scholars Workshop titled, “Institutionalization of Service Learning/Community Engaged Learning (SL/CEL) in Higher Education.”
  3. Anahita Khodadadi, architecture faculty, presented a talk, “Multi-objective Form-exploration Using a Genetic Algorithm and TRIZ,” on Jan. 10 at the University of Innsbruck in Austria.
  4. Sergio Palleroni, director of the Center for Public Interest Design, gave the keynote address at the Design for the Common Good International Exhibition welcoming event on Jan. 14 in Denver. 
  5. Aaron Roussell, sociology faculty, co-presented “Academic Freedom” at an Association of College and Research Libraries, Oregon Chapter, board meeting in December. 
  6. Sean Schumacher, graphic design faculty, presented “You Can't Be Serious: Undoing the Myth of the Designer Through Depictions of Fun, Failure and the Messiness of Process in Design Media” Jan. 20 at the 16th International Conference on Design Principles & Practices.
  7. Hyeyoung Woo, sociology faculty, co-authored “Family and Work Pathways and Their Association to Health for Women: The Case of Korea,” which was presented at the Annual Meetings of the Korean Sociological Association.
