"Oh, the Humanity" is five short plays exploring the bitter and the sweet of being human: hoping, yearning for love, trying to help others, but reeling and not knowing how to do any of it. Playwright Will Eno, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, has a unique voice that has been compared to Samuel Beckett, “but he is not as dark as Beckett,” says director Devon Allen. “You can feel that the playwright loves human beings while showing how confusing it all is. The play gut-punches you, spins you around and makes you laugh.”
