Come explore the tools of video art! We’ll have an assortment of analog hardware available to explore a variety of approaches to video art. Learn how to harness the infinite recursion of feedback, to find beauty in the glitch, and to ride the scanlines of a vector monitor. Thomas Fang and Matthew Rempes will be giving a short primer on oscillographics and scan processing techniques with oscilloscopes and vector monitors at the beginning. After that, there will be plenty of time to experiment with different video art tools. This is a hands-on workshop open to beginners and anyone interested in analog video technology.
