Sign-Up for Orientation

New Student Orientation is required for new, fully-admitted undergraduate students. The Orientation program is designed to help new students learn about graduation requirements, register for classes, and transition successfully into the PSU community.

Student Type Definitions
If you are unsure of your student type in terms of whether or not you should plan to attend Orientation, please refer to the following list of definitions.

Student Type Definition Required to Attend Orientation?
Freshman Undergraduate student who is transferring 0-29 credit hours to PSU. Yes
Transfer Undergraduate student who is transferring 30 or more credit hours to PSU. Yes

Co-Admit

Undergraduate student who has completed a specific co-admission admission application. Yes

International

Undergraduate, graduate, post-bac, or exchange student who is from a country other than the US. Yes
Non-Degree Student who is not seeking a degree and has been admitted with limited access. No*
Post-Bac Student who has earned a Bachelor's degree and has not been admitted to a specific program. No*
Graduate Student how has earned a Bachelor's degree and has been admitted to a specific graduate program. No*
Distance Learner Student who is part of a specific off-campus program (e.g., CCJO, Extended Campus). No*

*These student types are not required to complete the New Student Orientation program that our office coordinates. In some cases, there are other orientation requirements specific to your program.
