Department and Event Parking

Permit Requests

To submit a Department Permit Request, please fill out the form below. Requests will be processed within 1-2 business days, and the department requester will be notified via email when the request is complete.

Services Available from this Form:

Scratch-Off Permits
• One-day hangtag permits that require the user to scratch off the day the permit will be valid.
• Great for one-time visits to campus for department guests or volunteers

Loading Zone Permits
• Loading Zone permits are available upon request free of charge and are valid for 30 minutes in requested locations. Locations available are limited to general or restricted areas.

*Short Term Permits
• Custom dashboard permit that can be made for a specified date range in a specific lot/garage. (ie. 4/1/22-5/26/22 at Parking Structure 1).

Vendor Parking Permit
• Vendor/Service parking permit for use while services are being provided onsite. Valid for up to 10 hours/week per month.

**Annual Parking Link
• The Parking Link will be provided for your guest(s), which can be entered at a designated PSU parking station
• The Parking Link will be valid for the entire financial year, or until canceled by the department
• Billing is based on the number of times the link is used each quarter, and the duration of the stay.
• Great for departments who frequently host guests and/or volunteers.
• We also offer short-term parking links for event parking, or short-term guest parking. Please log into the parking portal to request an event.

Annual Department Permits
• Hangtag permits that are valid for the entire fiscal year and valid in a specific lot/garage in permit parking areas.
• Designed for PSU owed/lease vehicles that will be stored on campus.

Annual Department Reserved Space
• Designated space in a specific lot/garage, valid for the entire fiscal year.
• Designed for PSU-owned/leased vehicles that will be stored on campus OR department guest space for departments that host visitors frequently.

TriMet Adult Day Pass
• Pass can be used for multiple trips within a single day
• Great for campus visitors who can utilize transit

Event Parking Options

If you're hosting an event in which you expect many attendees to drive, or are planning a guest speaker that you'd like to reserve parking for, we can help! To submit a request follow the link below and log into your PSU parking account with your ODIN login credentials. Scroll down to the "Department Event Request" link to submit the request.

All event requests must be submitted with at least 48 hours' notice.

Event Parking Types:

If you'd like to pay for parking for your guests and you're affiliated with PSU, here are a few options for reservations and payment:

Event Parking Link

Event parking link provided for your guest(s), which can be entered at any PSU meter
Event parking link can be valid for one day, multiple days, or the whole year
Billing is based on the actual number of code entries used

By Invitation

Billing is based on the number of permits issued
Available in locations in which an attendant will be on duty at the time guest arrives
Allow parking attendants to issue complimentary permits to individuals who arrive with an event invitation or state they are attending the event

Custom Permits

Custom parking permit which can be distributed to your guest(s)
Billing is based on the number of permits issued

ZIPCAR FOR BUSINESS

For business travel by PSU employees, you or your department have the option of utilizing Zipcars parking on campus. This option is best for short-term or one-day rentals. The cost of the rental is billed to a departmental index code. Zipcar offers dozens of vehicles and a variety of vehicle types throughout the university district. The flexibility of hourly rental rates may also help reduce costs. All users of Zipcar rentals for university travel must have a Zipcar membership. Employees may sign up for a Zipcar business account at no cost. To sign up, visit zipcar.com/psu or call 503-328-3539. Applicants must be 21+; pre-registration is required and may take up to 1 week to process. so please plan ahead.
