Custom Serve Your City / Serve Your Campus Opportunities
Would your PSU student group, organization or department be interested in serving the community together? Let us help! If you don't see a project in the list above that works for your group, our staff can provide service project support and set up opportunities for you and your group to get involved in service here at Portland State and in the broader Portland community.
We can help you set up service experiences ranging from 1 hour to all day. Because we work closely with dozens of community partners, we can tailor the service experience to meet your group goals, but also a real community need!
Examples of on-campus service experiences:
- Work in the PSU Orchard
- Projects for the PSU Food Pantry
- Projects for the Re-Use Room
- Making cards for seniors to send to Store to Door or Meals on Wheels
Examples of off-campus service experiences:
- Cleaning books with Children's Book Bank
- Sorting donations with Habitat for Humanity ReStore
- Serving a meal at Blanchet House
- Tidying up playrooms at Ronald McDonald House Charities
- Removing invasive species at Forest Park
Student groups and/or department must coordinate any travel for custom Serve Your City days amongst your group members.
If you are interested and want to plan a time to discuss this, please fill out the Custom "Serve Your City: Shorts" Project Interest Form at least 4-6 weeks before you would like your service project to occur.
If you have any questions, please contact volunteer@pdx.edu.
