Overview & Charge

The Internationalization Council is an administrative committee established in 2002 for the purpose of revising and refining the goals of that era’s Internationalization Initiative.

In 2008, the Council was reorganized and formally appointed by Provost Ray Koch. In the period since then, the council, in cooperation with academic and administrative units on campus, has supported and facilitated:

  • Curricular integration
  • Travel abroad opportunities
  • Increased international presence on campus
  • Increased engagement with others, both nearby and around the world
  • Formation of the Internationalization Council
  • Reporting on campus international initiatives and activities
  • Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)

In 2023, Provost Susan Jeffords approved the creation of the Education Abroad Academic Advisory Subcommittee (EAAAS).  Read the memo from Jeffords HERE.  Read the charge and responsibilities of the EAAAS HERE.
