Faculty Spotlight: Dr. Lindsay Skog

Lindsay Skog

Over the past 14 years, I have worn many hats in the Geography Department—graduate student, research assistant, teaching assistant, editorial assistant, Education Abroad program leader in India and Nepal, adjunct faculty, and fixed-term faculty. While my path has led me away from PSU at times—Nepal for Fulbright and graduate research, Colorado for my PhD, and Bhutan for teaching, my mentors, comrades, students, and friends at PSU Geography have always felt like home.

Today, I draw from all I have learned from the PSU Geography Community in my role as Program Director—Bhutan at the Karuna Foundation, a private foundation in Portland, Oregon. In this role, I manage a modest portfolio of grants focused on climate change mitigation and adaptation. In addition, I work with partner organizations in Bhutan to develop new programs in support of Bhutan’s commitment to carbon neutrality.
