Every week during the academic year, Currently celebrates faculty and staff accomplishments, including appearances on panels, presentations, recent publications or performances, and research grants.

  1. Jola Ajibade, geography faculty, presented “Urban Natures: Interrogating Social Justice and Resilience Planning in Coastal Cities” at Dartmouth College on Nov. 12. 
  2. Sarah Dougher, university studies faculty, presented “Humanities Light the Way to Higher Education: Four Models” at the National Humanities Conference.
  3. Jon Holt, world languages and literatures faculty, presented “My Brother’s Husband:  Changing Attitudes towards Same-Sex Marriage in Japanese Manga” at the Encorepreneur Cafe in Portland, Oregon, on Nov. 1.
  4. Maura Kelly, sociology faculty, participated in the webinar “Addressing Jobsite Culture: Take Action to Create Safer Work Environment” presented by the Regional Respectful Workplace Model Review Committee. 
  5. Nicole Rigelman, mathematics faculty, co-presented “Catalyzing Change: Initiating Critical Conversations and Actions for Equitable Early Childhood and Elementary Mathematics” at the Virtual Conference of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics on Nov. 13.
  6. Hyeyoung Woo, sociology faculty, presented “Korean Families Yesterday and Today” at the Korea Institute at Harvard University.
