Movie Madness Partners with PSU to Offer Film History and Theory Classes

Next month, Movie Madness and Portland State University will be offering two courses to help you go from just a movie fan to certified cinephile.

It’s a special partnership between a video rental store and PSU.

It might sound like an odd combination, but it's a match made in movie heaven.

One class is called “How did we get to cinema." The other is "Juxtaposition: The power of the cut."

Ted Hurliman, the director of education and special projects at Hollywood Theatre, joined us Monday night on ARC PDX to talk about it.
