Film Professor Dustin Morrow Publishes Essay "You're It! Lets Play TAG"

The School of Film’s Prof. Dustin Morrow has contributed to the upcoming physical media debut of the 1982 cult classic thriller TAG: The Assassination Game. Released by Synapse Films, a company long renowned for its meticulous restoration and preservation of genre cinema, this long-awaited release features a new 2K restoration from the original 35mm archival materials. The film, which marks the directorial debut of John Carpenter collaborator Nick Castle, stars a young Linda Hamilton and Robert Carradine in a suspenseful thriller about a college campus game that turns deadly.

Prof. Morrow authored the liner notes for the release. His essay, “You’re It! Let’s Play TAG” highlights his expertise in genre and 1980s cinema with critical context on this unique piece of exploitation film history. The blu-ray is set for release on February 24 and is currently available for pre-order through Synapse Films.
