  1. Miriam Abelson, women, gender, and sexuality studies faculty, presented “Far Right Visibility Politics and Rural LGBTQ People in the Inland Northwest During COVID-19” at the American Association of Geographers Annual Meeting on April 11.
  2. Jola Ajibade, geography faculty, gave an invited talk titled “Creating Governable Spaces and Populations: ‘Success’ and Equity in Managed Retreat as a Climate Adaptation” at the Public Seminar Series on International Justice, Rights and the Environment at Stanford University on April 19.
  3. Óscar Fernández, university studies, presented a virtual workshop titled “Journaling with BRAVO High School Students: Tips for Crafting Affirming, Personal Statements for College/Job Applications” for the 2021 summer series with BRAVO Youth Orchestras in North Portland, Oregon, on April 22.
  4. Jungmin Kwon, film faculty, presented “FANtasy Changes the World: Straight Korean Female Fans, Their Gay Fantasies, and Korean Popular Culture” at the Korean Studies Colloquium with the James Joo-Jin Kim Program in Korean Studies at the University of Pennsylvania on April 15.
  5. John Nimmo, education faculty, presented a keynote titled “Citizenship Rights and Young Children’s Participation in the Public Realm: Reflections on Reggio Inspirations in the Light of Diverse Global Contexts” at the ENNEA World Conference in Zagreb, Croatia, on April 24.
  6. Lisa Weasel, women, gender and sexuality studies, gave an invited presentation titled “Speculative Worlds: Imagining Past and Future Science” as a part of Cal Tech’s Critical Intersections: Conversations on History, Race and Science seminar series on April 16.
  7. Kristi Yuthas, business faculty, presented “Strategic Value Creation through Enterprise Blockchain” at the Blockchain International Science Conference ISC 2021.
