ALL of these films have employed the art of stop-motion animation to bring their fantastical creations to life. Join us for a behind the scenes tour of these incredible effects sequences, focusing on the master magicians who practice this greatest of in-camera arts - Willis O’Brien, Ray Harryhausen, Jim Danforth, Dave Allen and Phil Tippett, among others!This 2-hour deep dive will be taught by director, Jack Perez, whose own film MONSTER ISLAND (starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead & Adam West) is a comic valentine to these stop-motion epics!Class will be held in room LH115 in Lincoln Hall, at 1620 SW Park Ave, Portland, OR 97201 on the Portland State University Campus.PSU Students are free with valid student ID!
