  1. Janice Lee, English faculty, is a finalist for the 2023 Oregon Book Award for her debut poetry collection, “Separation Anxiety.”
  2. Ken Ruoff, World Languages and Literatures faculty, was interviewed and quoted by the Nihon Keizai shinbun in Japan about the heir crisis facing Japan’s royal family.  
  3. Stephanie Singer, Center for Public Service faculty, has been selected to receive the Innovation Award at the upcoming Election Verification Network conference from March 16-17 in Washington, D.C.
  4. Ashley Streig, Geology faculty, has been named a Visiting Erskine Fellow at the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Canterbury.
  5. Anmarie Trimble, University Studies faculty, collaborated with Sticky Co. to create “Light Chimes,” a science-related mashup of light and sound at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry’'s Turbine Hall Curium. 
  6. Regina Weaver, Office of Global Engagement and Innovation and Intensive English Language Program faculty, completed a project-based language learning massive open online course offered by the National Foreign Language Resource Center at the University of Hawai’i Mānoa.
  7. Dilafruz Williams, Education Faculty, was invited to co-present a webinar, “Principles of Culturally-Responsive Garden Education: Honoring Diversity and Inclusion,” organized by KidsGardening.
