Study Abroad Programs

The Center for International and English Learning offers two types of longer term study abroad program. Portland Center can last one term, a half- year or "semester", or a full academic year. Our Non-credit International Special Programs Study Abroad option is only available for one term. Each program allows for you to start your study abroad at PSU during any term (fall, winter, spring, and summer). 

Please note, if you are interested in studying abroad through a "short term" (one month or less) program at PSU that information is our our short term programs pages. 

Non-Credit International Special Programs Study Abroad 

For students who are focused on their English conversation skills and / or may not have a high enough TOEFL for the Portland Center or other options can study abroad in our Non-Credit Study Abroad  Program. Students take mix of non-credit classes which vary depending on the term.

Portland Center Study Abroad 

For students who are have a high enough TOEFL qualify for studying through the Portland Center and receive specialized English instruction, in addition to being able to take classes in other disciplines with traditional PSU students. Students course load and options will depend on their TOEFL/IELTS score and always include a targeted Academic English support class.
