College and University Programs Custom programs for colleges and universities:These programs typically last 1-4 weeks and can include dormstay, homestay, or staying at a hotel. We require a 15 student minimum for new programs. Programs with less than 15 participants are cost prohibitive for partners as well as our office. Please let us know which type of program and focus areas you are interested in. Preferred dates or times of year and any special request for accommodation type. Example Activities Medical Programs Visit U.S. medical schools and their simulation labs! In our medical programs you can learn about how U.S. medical schools train their students, including through realistic practice such as their simulation lab where students can practice techniques. English & Wine Program English and Wine students learn how to taste and explain wines In our English and Wine focused programs, participants learn about various types of wines as well as how to professionally taste and describe them. Oregon is famous for Pinot Noir and other wines! Business and Entrepreneurship Programs Visit local companies such as Intel or ADX (Arts Design Exchange) In our programs that focus on Entrepreneurship and Business we take students to visit and learn from all types of companies, from large corporations to small non-profits or local entrepreneurs. Sustainability and Service-Learning / Volunteering Programs Student volunteers after a shift at PSU's Learning Garden We want all of our programs to include a focus on sustainability as something PSU and Portland are known for. The university motto is "Let Knowledge Serve the City" so we always try to volunteer too! Medical Programs Students learning about the Ronald McDonald House non-profit Our medical programs focus on differences between the U.S. and home countries in providing care.
