The Center for International & English Learning (CIEL) is part of Portland State University's Office of Global Engagement & Innovation. CIEL includes staffing and programming from three historical PSU departments, the Intensive English Language Program (IELP), International Special Programs (ISP), and the Portland Center (formerly Waseda Transnational Programs). As the academic wing of PSU's international programming we offer a variety of services and different educational programs.. Our programs are divided into short and long term options, with our shorter programs lasting anywhere from one week to one or two months, and longer programs from one quarter to one year of study at PSU.
