Numerous local agencies and organizations work together to make Portland the top bike-friendly city in the country.

PSU Transportation + Parking Services

The Bike Hub is administered by the PSU Transportation and Parking Services. The department is also responsible for bike parking on campus, as well as various transit programs and management of PSU's parking structures.

Bicycle Transportation Alliance (BTA)

The Bicycle Transportation Alliance (BTA) is a non-profit membership organization working to promote bicycling and improve biking conditions in Oregon and SW Washington.

TriMet is the regional transit agency that provides bus, streetcar, and light rail (MAX) service to the Portland metro. Visit TriMet's website for tips on bringing your bike with you on your next transit trip.

Portland Bureau of Transportation

The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is a community partner which plans, builds, manages, and maintains an effective and safe transportation system to provide people and businesses access to a variety of transportation options.

PBOT provides two hotlines for cyclists to report roadway maintenance issues:

  • Pothole + Pavement Repair Hotline (503) 823-BUMP (2867)
  • Cyclist Hotline (>503) 823-CYCL (2925)

If stop light loop detectors aren't detecting you, or if a bike lane needs to be swept free of loose gravel or excess debris, please call the Cyclist Hotline.

You can also submit requests for low-cost, small-scale repairs to Portland bicycle routes on the PBOT website under the "Bike Route Need Maintenance?" option (in the left-hand menu).

SmartTrips is a program organized by PBOT to encourage the use of alternative transportation choices in the Portland area.

BikePortland is an independent daily news source that covers all aspects of the Portland bike scene.

The Portland Bureau of Transportation, in partnership with Nike Inc., introduced the Portland bike share program "BIKETOWN" in July of 2016. Biketown features over 1,000 bikes available for hourly and daily rental from 100 locations throughout the city, with 4 docking stations located on or near the PSU campus.
