PSU ALERT: POLICE ACTIVITY at Millar Library. Avoid the area. Updates will be sent via PSU Alert, when and if available.

PSU requires that all new students, including transfer students, participate in a New Student Orientation in order to register for their first term. Orientation will provide you with the information needed to choose classes. If you want to connect with an advisor before your Orientation, you can, but you will still need to attend the Orientation in order to unlock your registration

How can I meet with an advisor?

In-Person Orientation: If you attend an Orientation session in person, you will have an opportunity to meet with an advisor there. You are also welcome to set up a separate appointment for more in-depth help.

Virtual/Online Orientation: If you participate in Orientation online, you will be expected to set up an appointment separately. Advisors are available for in-person or remote appointments throughout the summer.

Use the links below to schedule an appointment, or call 503-725-3822. You will need to login with your PSU Odin account. Once you are in the scheduling system, you may choose in-person, virtual (most available), or remote options. Please select Orientation Advising as the service, if listed. You can meet with any advisor from your pathway team.

What should I do to prepare?

We strongly recommend you review the information on this sited under What to Expect in Your First Year or our PSU Degree Overview course in Canvas (you will be directed to enroll in the course). We have also created Registration Guides of suggested courses for your first term.

To assure that your advisor has the most accurate information, please be sure you have sent your most updated transcripts and AP or IB scores. If you took college credits in high school through dual enrollment, you will need that college to send a transcript as well.
