Appointments & Drop-in
Important Update: Beginning April 13th, our drop-in hours are changing. The normal schedule will be 1-3pm Monday-Friday. Please call or check the schedule below for up-to-date changes or before coming in.
Drop-in interactions typically last 15-20 minutes and are meant to be a starting point for a more in-depth conversation held during a scheduled appointment. Drop-in is available for all students/alumni needing assistance with career development or job search strategies and for undergraduates whose major is undecided/undeclared or who are considering a change of major. Please see below for services offered by appointment.
Resume Critique Drop-ins: If you have a resume started or have gathered the necessary elements together, come in for professional assistance. Please see the calendar for dates and times. It is best to make an appointment or attend a workshop if you are starting from scratch.
For Spril 2015, our drop-in hours are from 1PM to 3PM Monday-Friday. Due to Orientation and other events, we sometimes change regularly scheduled drop-in hours: Please check the calendar below or call our office prior to coming to confirm our drop-in hours for the day you intend to visit.
If you have questions about whether your needs are better addressed during drop-in hours or with an appointment, please call 503-725-4005.
Appointments are appropriate for current or prospective PSU students and alumni regarding career services or academic advising for undecided students. Come in for an appointment to discuss choosing a major or career, completing a petition (including Financial Aid petitions), navigating your return to PSU after an extended absence, making a long term academic plan, doing in-depth career exploration, learning job search strategies and skills, locating an internship, and assistance applying to graduate school, etc.
Appointments are generally 30 to 60 minutes depending on your needs and are scheduled Monday through Friday between 9am and 4pm.
You can schedule an appointment by calling 503-725-4005 or visiting us in 402 University Services Building.
