Community Development/Community Urban Studies and Planning

• Isaac (Izzy) Sederbaum (CD 2011) recently completed his PhD in Public Policy & Management from the Evans School of Public Policy & Governance at the University of Washington. He subsequently started a postdoctoral scholar position at UC Berkeley's School of Public Health.

Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP)

• Pamela Phan (MURP 2014) was named the Executive Director of Unite Oregon, a statewide organization advancing equity and justice for immigrants, refugees, and communities of color.
• Sara Morrissey (MURP 2012) left her position as the City of Portland’s Deputy City Administrator to join Multnomah County as Deputy Chief Operating Officer.

Urban Studies - MUS/PhD

• Lauren Everett (PhD 2022) adapted her dissertation into a book, Fortunate People in a Fortunate Land, which will be released in October by Temple University Press. Pre-order available now, use discount code 25FNBK for 25% off!
• Sangwan Lee (PhD 2022) has been appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Urban Engineering at Wonkwang University in South Korea. His research examines the intersection of urban spatial structure, transportation, mobility, and smart city development.
