MURP graduate awarded fellowship opportunity at Yale

Amy Ly, a Spring 2023 graduate of the MURP program, was selected to be a part of the Environmental Fellows Program (EFP) at the Yale School of the Environment this summer. The EFP is a 12-week fellowship opportunity that seeks to diversify the environmental field by cultivating the career aspirations of master’s and doctoral students from historically underrepresented groups.

The program matched Ly with American Rivers (AR), a nonprofit organization that uplifts communities by advocating for clean drinking water and clean rivers. She said that by utilizing her skill sets and knowledge to weave urban planning, climate change, and social justice together, she aimed to leave “a profound and meaningful mark on AR and the communities it serves.”
