Employee Viking Pass Terms and Conditions

PROGRAM OVERVIEW and COSTS:

The PSU Employee Viking Pass is an Adult TriMet fare valid for the period of time listed below. The Employee Viking Pass is only available to current PSU employees.

The fare instrument is a PSU/TriMet Hop Fastpass Card issued and activated by PSU Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS). The Employee Viking Pass is $50.00 per month. The monthly deadline for placing an order is the 10th of the month. Passes purchased after the 10th of the month will become active on the 1st of the following month. For example, a pass purchased on September 11th will be active beginning October 1st. Payroll deductions will continue until an employee opts out of the Employee Viking Pass program. 9-month employees who receive 10 paychecks per year (September – June) will not have an active transit pass for July and August but will have the option to purchase a pass for these months from TAPS at a cost of $50 per month.

In order to receive a PSU Employee Viking Pass, you must agree to the terms and conditions below.

1. The Employee Viking Pass for my use only, as an employee of PSU. It cannot be sold to or used by anyone else or duplicated under any circumstances. If someone other than myself is found using this card on TriMet, that person may be subject to a fine and I may be excluded from future participation in the program.

2. I am required to tap my PSU Employee Hop card for each vehicle boarding and upon occupying any area requiring proof of fare payment. Failure to do so may result in a citation. If requested, I will present photo identification.

3. I will report my lost or stolen PSU Student Hop card to PSU Transportation & Parking Services. Replacement cards may be requested at a cost of $3.

4. I accept and agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy located at myhopcard.com.

5. Separating employees with an Employee Viking Pass must notify Transportation & Parking Services of their separation date at which time the Viking Pass will be deactivated. Failure to do so will result in the remaining value of the pass being billed to the employee’s university account and will be subject to fees and collection efforts.

REFUNDS and REPLACEMENTS: Employees may request their Viking Pass be deactivated and have their future payroll deductions stopped (current month deduction can only be stopped if the Viking Pass is returned/deactivated before the 10th day of the month). If paid in full, a refund will be equal to the pro-rated price on the day that the pass is returned/deactivated. Viking Pass deactivations and refunds cannot be back-dated. If the Viking Pass Hop Card is lost or stolen, a replacement may be purchased at a fee of $3.

EMPLOYMENT SEPARATION:

Separating employees with an Employee Viking Pass must notify Transportation & Parking Services of their separation date at which time the Viking Pass will be deactivated. Failure to do so will result in the remaining value of the pass being billed to the employee’s university account and will be subject to fees and collection efforts.
