Refunds & Replacements:
The CTRAN Employee Viking Pass may ONLY be returned in the event that the participating employee moves out of the CTRAN coverage area (documentation will be required), or the employee is separating from PSU. Employees meeting these requirements may have their Viking Pass returned/deactivated and stop future payroll deductions (current month deduction can only be stopped if Viking Pass is returned before the 10th day of the month). If paid in full, refund will be equal to the pro-rated price on the day the pass is returned/deactivated. Viking Pass deactivations and refunds cannot be back-dated.
If the Viking Pass Hop Card is lost or stolen, a replacement may be purchased at a fee of $3.
Employment Separation:
Separating employees with a Viking Pass must notify Transportation & Parking Services of their separation date at which time the Viking Pass will be deactivated. Failure to do so will result in the remaining value of the pass being billed to the employee’s university account and will be subject to fees and collection efforts.
Even in the event of employee separation, Viking Passes returned/deactivated after the 10th day of the month will not result in a refund of pre-tax monthly deductions per federal tax regulations (IRC). Employees who elect post tax deduction may receive a pro-rated refund to their university account. Employees who paid in full may have the pro-rated remaining value refunded to their university account and sent by check or credited back to the original purchasing credit card.
In order to receive a PSU Employee CTRAN Viking Pass, you must agree to the terms and conditions below,
1. This Viking Pass is for my use only, based on my employment with PSU. The pass cannot be sold to or used by anyone else under any circumstances. If someone other than myself is found using this pass on CTRAN or TriMet, that person may be subject to a fine, and I may be subject to PSU code of ethics violation and possible disciplinary action.
2. The Viking Pass is the property of PSU. If at any time my employment with PSU should end, I agree to return or request deactivation of the Viking Pass on or before my final day of employment.
3. If lost or stolen, a replacement Viking Pass may be issued at a non-refundable cost of $3. The Viking Pass may also be returned for refund as outlined above.
4. I am required to tap my Viking Pass Hop Card for each vehicle boarding and upon occupying any area requiring proof of payment. If requested by fare inspection, I will present photo identification. I accept and agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy located at myhopcard.com.
