Parking Terms and Conditions:
How to park until you pick up your permit:
If you purchased a permit online within two weeks of the academic term start, you would be emailed a link to a temporary, printable permit valid for seven days from the date of purchase. You must follow the link and print your temporary permit within five days of your online purchase.
What to do if you forget/lose your permit:
You must always display your parking permit when parked on campus, or you will be subject to a citation. If you don't have your permit for any reason, please visit the attended kiosk at Parking Structure One or Parking Structure Three to get a one-day parking pass. Permit holders may use this option up to three times per month. If your permit is lost or missing, please visit our office to report your permit lost and request a replacement. There is a $25 replacement fee for lost permits.
Part-time permits and finals week:
Part-time permits are valid all hours and all days during finals week of the associated term. Location restrictions still apply.
Terms of Service for PSU Parking Permits:
- All permit fees are based on possession of the permit, not use. If your permit is lost or stolen, you are responsible for any fees accrued until the loss is reported to Transportation & Parking Services. There is a $25 replacement fee for lost permits.
- Refunds, returns, or exchanges can only be made with the return of the physical parking permit. Permits may be returned for a pro-rated refund or exchange through the 8th week of the term in fall, winter, and spring and anytime during the summer term. Refunds, returns, and exchanges will be subject to a $5 fee per transaction.
- Academic Year Commuter permits will be billed at the quarterly cost of the permit at the beginning of each term (Fall, Winter, Spring). To discontinue billing, the permit must be physically returned to the Transportation and Parking Office.
- Parking permits must be clearly displayed and fully visible from outside the vehicle.
- All vehicles displaying a PSU permit must be registered to that permit. Any vehicle not correctly displaying a valid permit will be subject to a parking citation.
- Permits may only be used in accessible parking spaces if the vehicle displays a disabled placard.
- Permit holders must be legally licensed to drive.
- Vehicles parked on campus must have current license plates and registration and be insured under a motor vehicle liability insurance policy.
- Permit holders will be responsible for all parking and citation debts for any associated vehicle registered to PSU.
- Permit holders must abide by all PSU policies and the PSU Code of Conduct. Violations may result in the permit cancelation and exclusion from PSU Parking Facilities.
PERMIT REFUNDS
Parking permit charges are based on possession of the permit, not use. Pro-rated refunds are available until the end of week eight for fall, winter, and spring terms. Permits must be physically returned to Transportation and Parking as soon as they are no longer needed to receive the maximum refund available. Please visit our office at 1812 SW 6th Avenue to initiate a return.
